Simeone: "The key was to insist"
Atlético’s coach stressed the importance of the three points won against Villarreal.
Diego Pablo Simeone analysed at press conference the victory of our team against Villarreal at El Madrigal (0-1). Atlético’s coach said that "it was an important match for the team in which we started very well. I saw the team was strong, with chances to hurt them. Fernando defined extraordinarily well, with impressive calmness and coldness. We needed it, he needed it and we are all happy for the team, first, and obviously for Fernando."
The Argentinian coach announced that "the key was to insist. We benefited in that play in which Fernando defined with quality and hierarchy to decide a game that was open with two teams looking for gaps at the top."
