Simeone: "The Atlético family keeps growing"
Simeone, Enrique Cerezo, Koke and Godín wanted to thank all the fans for their support after reaching 100,000 members.
Our club has reached to the historic figure of 100,000 members. This is a historical number since Atlético had never reached this figure before. The club continues growing and its fans are increasing around the world. There is a red and white representation in the five continents, a source of pride for all of those who love these colours.
Our chairman, Enrique Cerezo, assessed the importance of reaching this historic number: “The communion of the fans and the club has been essential for the successes that we have achieved throughout our history and it will also be in the future. We are proud that the team has so much support, we never had so many members and it demonstrates that the club is growing in the whole world. Our duty now is to continue working to have an even better future." Our coach, Diego Pablo Simeone, who was a player before becoming our current manager, knows the fans well and is extremely happy that the Atlético feeling continues increasing among the people: "The Atlético family keeps growing. Congratulations."
Koke, a player from the ranks, wanted to thank all our fans for their unconditional support: "It is a source of pride to see how the number of members continues growing and we reach an impressive figure such as 100,000 members. I can only thank them for their loyalty and for supporting us tirelessly."
Godín, another of our captains and an icon of all the Atléticos, did not want to miss this opportunity to send a message to everyone that supports us around the world: "Thank you very much, you are who make our club great.”
