Simeone reaches 450 matches as Atleti coach
The Argentine has registered 271 wins, 104 draws and 75 defeats in all competitions.
Diego Pablo Simeone on Friday reached his 450th match as Atlético de Madrid coach during our draw at Villarreal.
The Argentine made his debut against Málaga on Jan. 7, 2012. Since then, he has registered 271 wins, 104 draws and 75 defeats in all competitions, meaning he has only lost 17% of all games and has won over 60%.
On Nov. 10, 2019, our coach surpassed Johan Cruyff as the fourth manager with the most matches at a single LaLiga club. Simeone has won one league title, one Copa del Rey, two Europa Leagues, two UEFA Super Cups and one Spanish Super Cup. Moreover, he has never finished below third place in LaLiga in the seven full seasons in which he has been our coach.
