Simeone: “It's a final and we have to play it with intensity and aggressiveness”
Diego Pablo Simeone noted in press coherence that this last match will be a new final to achieve the objective and that Granada is a team that has changed with the new coach.
The red and white coach acknowledged that “Arda Turan and Mandžukić are not going to be on the list. Mandžukić still has the knee pain and Arda tried but is in no condition to play such an important match as the one we're going to play.”
About his rival, he said, “Granada is a team that's changed in these last three games with its new coach, who has brought a lot of hope and enthusiasm to the team. And that is what football is, hope and enthusiasm and all the quality and talent you can have. The atmosphere of the match will be very important for the team playing at home but, at the same time, dangerous for the local team, because in the same way people get excited and cheer, it becomes complicated to play at home if the result is negative. It will depend on what happens in the game for the rhythm and feelings that are felt outside to come down to the pitch and it will be more or less stressful for them, especially because we play away and it won't make a big difference to us.”
He only wants to think about his match because “I always try to isolate myself because we depend on ourselves first and it seems more fair to look at ourselves and not listen to other situations which can disorient you. It's a final we have to play with the intensity and aggressiveness we are used to, so we can play an important match that positions us in the place we want to be since the beginning of the season."
