Diego Pablo Simeone spoke the press after the team’s win in Riazor.
“It was a tough match and the team responded well,” he said. “We were always in the match and that’s what gave us the chance to win it.”
The goal came in the 92nd minute and Simeone was proud of the hard work the players showed on the pitch.
“I loved the team’s hard work,” he continued. “We won thanks to a set piece play, something that we especially like.”
Atlético are currently third in LaLiga with 23 points, following this afternoon’s victory.
