THE ARGENTINIAN EXPLAINED HIS WAY OF SEEING FOOTBALL BEFORE THE GOLDEN BALL GALA

Simeone: "For me, there is no age in football"

Diego Pablo Simeone participated in the press conference held in Zurich prior to the Golden Ball gala, and shared the stage with Carlo Ancelotti and Joachim Löw, candidates for Best Coach of 2014.

Our team’s coach, candidate to World’s Best Coach of the Year at the Golden Ball gala, offered his view on how to coach a team. "The best way of leading a group is to have communication with the guys, whether large or small. For me, there is no age in football, and handling the responsibilities of the group makes one closer to their teammates and results in creating a good group."

The Argentinian enhanced the ranks. "Teams like ours, with fewer economic resources, need and have an obligation of looking at the guys. As soon as we see the possibility of upgrading some kid to start training with the first team, we do it."

The question of what gives you passion in football, Diego Simeone responded, "seeing my players identify see with my idea. The hardest thing is to convey to the players so they can prove, without them realizing, what the essence of this game is."
