Simeone calls up 20 players for the match in Seville

The Atletico players trained on Saturday afternoon before the league debut against Seville at the Sanchez Pizjuan Stadium at 23:00pm on Sunday the 18th. Goalkeepers (Courtois, Aranzubia and Bono) traned with Pablo Vercellone while the rest performed various physical exercises with ball.

They started with a ball control exercise and also worked on speed and intensity. The first 15 minutes was open to the media before Simeone worked behind closed doors to add the finishing touches prior to thegame.

Upon completion of the training, Diego Pablo Simeone submitted a list of 20 players for the first official meeting of the season, which see’s Atletico open the league campaign against Sevilla. Tiago and Gimenez will not make the journey due to suspension. The team will travel on Sunday morning on a charter to the Andalusian capital and return after the match also by plane.
