Sergi and Werner made their debut with the first team
The player from the ranks and the Argentinian goalkeeper fulfilled their dream of making their debut with the first team in the Centenary Match that we have played in Mexico against Toluca FC.
Sergio González Testón (Madrid, 26th May 1995), better known as 'Sergi', has made his debut with the first team in the first fixture of the pre-season against Toluca FC. The young left-back entered the pitch in the second half to substitute Filipe Luis.
Our home-grown player is one of the starting players in Óscar Fernández’s reserve team in the line of defence and this year is doing the pre-season training under Simeone’s orders, and he has had the opportunity to fulfil his dream of making his debut with the first team against the Mexican team.
For his part, Axel Wener (February 28th, 1996), has also played some minutes in the match against Toluca FC and fulfilled his dream. The Argentinian goalkeeper entered from the bench on 72 minutes to substitute Miguel Ángel Moyá.
