Red and white hurricane at the Calderón
Spectacular game of Atlético de Madrid, which dominated the match from beginning to end and ended thrashing the Swedish Malmö FF (5-0).

Atlético monologue in the first half. Our team tried in every possible way: with shots from up close, from outside the box, with crosses looking for Mandžukić or through strategic plays, but the goal didn’t arrive. Griezmann had the best chance of the first half. Arda’s magic appeared with a through ball that left the French alone in the box but his shot was rejected by the crossbar. Continuing the play, Mandžukić fought the ball but a defender saved his header under the goalposts.
The pass through the changing room was very good for our team. Simeone’s talk took effect and the beginning of the second half was overwhelming. Just three minutes into the game, Arda reappeared to filter a pass in the box which Koke took advantage of perfectly. The home-grown player with a great cold head beat Olsen to make our team advance on the scoreboard in front of a committed Vicente Calderón once again.
The minutes went by and the red and white siege continued. First Mandžukić slid into the net a great cross from Koke, then Griezmann scored the third goal of the night with a shot from outside the box. And in the last minutes, Godín broadened the thrashing shooting a corner bounced by Koke and Cerci premiered as a striker with the red and white shirt with a shot with his left foot from inside the box. The fans that gathered on the banks of the Manzanares celebrated the landslide in style in a new magical night of our team in the UEFA Champions League.
