Raúl García: “I leave proud of everything I have achieved here"
The Spanish International appeared in the Stadium’s Vip Lounge along with Chairman Enrique Cerezo. Juanfran, Gabi, Tiago, Filipe, Fernando Torres, Gámez, Koke and Moyá were with Raúl in his farewell.
The event started with a short video that recapped the eight years of Raúl García as a red and white player. Following that, Enrique Cerezo had a few words of love and affection for the Spanish International. Then came the turn of the star of the day, Raúl García, who was very moved when he thanked all the members of the Atlético family: "I want to thank everyone who has supported me since I came here."
In addition, our former player said to be leaving having achieved a goal: "Fortunately, I got what I wanted, which was for people to know me personally. I leave proud of everything I have achieved."
Lastly, the international concluded by saying that "for me, the love of the people is the greatest thing. I now have respect mainly for the club that has made me be where I am.
