Our team finished a demanding pre-season unbeaten

The countdown for the start of the League has begun and our next match, against Girona at Montilivi, will be official.

After this Saturday’s victory at Butarque, our team is on the final stretch of their preparation for their League debut, with good feelings about their legs, as they have ended a demanding pre-season unbeaten.

During this pre-season, Simeone’s players have prepared by playing a total of six matches, with the only intention of being in the best fitness and football condition for the start of the official competition.

Six fixtures that ended with three wins and three ties, all of them against rivals in the top flight of their respective leagues.

After a draw against Deportivo Toluca in Mexico (0-0), we won the Audi Cup after beating Napoli and Liverpool. We defeated the Italian team in the semi-finals (2-1, goals by Torres and Vietto) and the English team in the penalty shootouts in a final that finished with a 1-1 (goal by Keidi).

In their third match in six days, Simeone’s players played against Brighton & Hove Albion, whom they beat by 2-3 with goals by Gaitán, Torres and Lucas. And finally, without leaving Madrid, a double derby against Getafe and Leganés, drawing 0-0 with the first one and beating the second one by 0-1, with a goal by Juan Moreno.
