Koke attended the media at the conclusion of the team’s morning training to highlight that Atlético will continue competing this year match-by-match because it’s the philosophy of the team. "We don't have any pressure. Our philosophy is to play match-by-match, like we did last year and this one we’ll keep it up. But I think that our main focus has to be the Super Cup. We have a very complicated rival that we know well enough. And from there, we’ll start
the League with the philosophy of playing match-by-match. The Club’s goal is always to get into the Champions League, but you never know. After this, we’ll see how we finish the season
”, he pointed out.

You always have to try to improve, we try to make this Club greater

The international also acknowledged that the team does not self-limit and that’s why they face the season which is about to start, as a challenge to improve what was achieved in the previous campaign. "You always have to try to improve, because that’s why we’re here, to try to make the Club greater. We know that it’s difficult but it’s a challenge we have set ourselves, and that is trying to do better than last season; it’s complicated but it’s a nice challenge that we’re going to try to accomplish", he admitted.

Atlético’s midfielder commented that the team is calm because they have no doubt that with work, the goal will come. "I think that they’re four preparatory matches. We scored a goal in the first one, we must add everything. But we are calm because the goal will come. What matters is that we haven’t conceded a goal either, that we’re good on defence and the offense will be arriving. We have to be calm and keep working because it will surely arrive", he said.
