Our club extends its condolences to all the Chapecoense family
Our former player Cléber Santana was travelling on the crashed plane.
From Atlético de Madrid, we want to extend our condolences to the relatives of those deceased in Chapecoense’s plane crash, which took place near the Colombian municipality of La Ceja in the region of Antioquia. The Brazilian team was travelling to the Jose Maria Córdova airport of Medellin, where it was going to play the final of the Copa Sudamericana against Atlético Nacional. Colombia’s civil aviation made public the list of the passengers on the plane in which a total of 81 people were travelling: 22 football players, 28 companions and managers, 22 journalists and 9 crew members. One of the passengers of the crashed plane is our former player Cléber Santana.
