THE YOUTH SPOKE AFTER THE PRESENTATION OF THE VOLKSWAGEN JUNIOR MASTERS

Óliver Torres: "The costumes are always working with the same goal, win"

The Atletico Madrid player supports the football tournament organized by one of the clubs sponsors. A tournament which begins its territorial stage in Madrid on Sunday 15th of December.

The event was held in the Sports City of Majadahonda where Volkswagen's marketing director, Laura Ros was with Óliver Torres signalling the start of this soccer tournament looking for the best talent in Spain. Pablo, one of the participants in the championship, had the opportunity to take on the Atletico Madrid player and tried to beat him on field 1 of the Sports City.

During the press conference, Óliver kindly spoke to the media who attended the meeting. Always close to the youngsters, the player said, "It is a pleasure to see the humility and the effort the children put in" and stressed that "the brand with these tournaments is going to make it much bigger and hopefully Atletico and Volkswagen continue to grow together."

The Atletico player reviewed his participation in the meeting which closed the qualifying round of the Champions League. "Whenever I play I attempt to give the best of me and the effort is for the team. Yesterday I tried to add my two cents and I left satisfied, considering it was my first game as a Champions League starter."

Oliver pointed out that he " wanted to enjoy the game and to spend time with family. I didn’t go out with pressure to prove anything to anyone, it's best to prove to yourself," he said. "Atletico Madrid is a European giant, so we have to have respect for the opposition we get" he noted on the hypothetical knockout matches.

Finally, the Atletico Madrid midfielder stressed that "the dressing room always works with the same purpose, to win. Every game we have or every team we come across, we go out to win and to make them suffer, from there come the good results," he said.
