It was the 37th round of the 2014-15 League when Jan Oblak conceded his last goal with Atlético’s shirt. It was Leo Messi who, behind a wall with Pedro inside the box drilled the goal defended by our goalkeeper for the last time. Since then, the Slovenian has put up a wall in his goal that has resulted key in the team’s good start of the season.

Oblak accumulates seven consecutive matches without conceding a goal. His streak began in the last match of last campaign against Granada (0-0) and had continuity during the 2015 pre-season. His premiere this summer took place at the new Carlos Tartiere in Oviedo, where the team won by 0-2, and seven days later, was once again a starter against Shanghai SIPG (0-3). The Slovenian did not play minutes in Butarque’s three-team tournament, but he did play at home against Real Sociedad (2-0) and Betis (3-0) in the Ramón de Carranza Trophy final.

The beginning of the official season has not changed the constants of our goalkeeper. Against UD Las Palmas he remained unbeaten (1-0) and in the win against Sevilla at the Sánchez Pizjuán (0-3), he was one of the most prominent players of the team, starring in several worthy saves. In short, three months with a clean slate that have helped us to start the season in a very positive way.
