THE BRAZILIAN PREDICTS A HARD GAME AGAINST GRANADA

Miranda: "We expect a tough match"

The Brazilian central defender believes that the team has to return to winning ways and to finish the season well, but predicts a tough match against Granada.

Joao Miranda was asked to appear before the media on the day before the match against Granada. The Brazilian is confident that the team can beat the Andalusians and thus return to winning ways. "There are few games left and the important thing is to finish well. We should be winning again, be more attentive and return to winning ways. We need the three points against Granada and hopefully we’ll get them" he said.

The defender expects a tough game against a competitive opponent. "We expect a tough game, hard. When a team loses like they did in the last match ,they’ll want to bounce straight back as soon as possible. We cannot drop our levels of Intensity because if you do you can get caught out," he said.

This Sunday is Children's Day and the stadium will be full. "We hope to give joy to the fans. We have won almost every game at the Calderon and tomorrow have to do it again. We hope to give joy to the kids and achieve victory at home" he said.

Regarding the Atletico defence, the tightest in the league, he said "Being a defender, it is an objective, my goal is to concede as few goals as possible. This helps us maintain a high level with a very strong defence".

Finally, he said that "our goal is the second position. We're going to try. The first objective is to ensure the Champions League and then fight for second place."
