“We deserved the three points; the team played very well”
José Miguel González, Míchel, manager of Getafe, said after the match against Atlético de Madrid that he felt “delighted and very satisfied with my players. I believe that the draw was unjust because of the way we played and the way I felt Atlético de Madrid played. They played quite poorly. I don’t recall conceding any scoring chances. We were unable to close out the match because we were in a rush, but even so I’m delighted and very happy with my players’ performance.”
The Getafe head coach commented that “we deserved the three points. We had to have won and in Malaga, as well. It’s not a footballing streak. Atlético scored on us with their backs to the goal and in the upper corner, but my team played very well.”
