M. Suárez: 'We have to give our all to help the team”

The ‘rojiblanco’ doesn’t think that the team will be affected by absences against Levante

Mario Suárez knows that they’ll be facing a tough opponent on Sunday in Levante as they try to earn the three points. The Atlético midfielder believes that “winning the three points isn’t going to be easy. We have to give 110% if we want to earn them. They’ve been one of the best teams in the second half of the season and are only 4 points behind us. That speaks about the great season they’re having. We’re looking forward to playing and winning the match, knowing that it’s going to be tough to do.”

The ‘rojiblanco’ player knows that the team needs the win to get closer to Europe. It’s important to go game-to-game and I don’t think that we have an easy schedule. Our road games are against teams that are playing to avoid relegation and they’ll be tough matches. We have to give our all in every contest, because if we don’t, it will be very tough to win them.”

Atlético de Madrid will face Levante without Reyes and Tiago due to suspension, while Koke and Fran Mérida are doubtful because of their respective injuries. Mario assured that “we’re Atlético. We have a large squad with enough quality so as not to be affected by the absences. Those who play will do so at the same level as those who are out.”

Regarding the possible recovery of Diego Forlán, Suarez stated that it’s important to see him with the group. It’s important for us and we really want him back, but moving this forward doesn’t depend on just one player. All of the squad members have to give everything they have to help the team.”

To finish, he spoke about the new Nike ball they are testing for next season. “It’s similar to the one from this season, but a bit lighter,” Mario Suárez wrapped up.
