Luiz Pereira hands a commemorative plaque to Filipe Luis after he defended our kit for the 300th time

During LaLiga matchday 37, Filipe Luis played his 300th match for our club.

Filipe Luis keeps on making history for our club. During our win against Getafe on LaLiga matchday 37, Filipe played his 300th match for Atlético de Madrid. Luiz Pereira, legendary player who defended our badge 171 times during the '70s, handed Filipe a plaque commemorating his 300 matches for our club.

Filipe originally joined our team in 2010 and after a brief stint at Chelsea, rejoined our squad in 2015. He made his debut in our league match against Zaragoza on 26 September, 2010. He's defended our colours in the league on 212 occasions, 36 in the Champions League, 25 in the Copa del Rey, 24 in the Europa League, 2 in the Spanish Super Cup and once in the Spanish Super Cup.

Our left-back is currently the third foreign-born player with the most appearances for our club (300) behind Diego Godín (349) and Luis Amaranto Perea (314). In total, he's won five titles for Atleti: UEFA Super Cup (2), UEFA Europa League (1), LaLiga (1), Copa del Rey (1).

¡Grande, Filipe!
