Looking to secure the first victory in LaLiga
Atlético wants to win its first LaLiga match and will look for it in Las Palmas (22:15, CET) with Godín, Thomas, Filipe Luis and Gameiro as the novelties on the list.
Second week and second away match. We visit a rival, which we have lately beat at their home, the Gran Canaria stadium, as our three visits to Las Palmas, ended in wins: in the 2015-16 season, by 0-3 and in 2016-17 by 0-5 in La Liga and last season in the Cup, by 0-2.
Atlético de Madrid began the current season with a tie (2-2) in Girona whereas the beginning of Las Palmas was worse, after suffering a slim loss (1-0) in Mestalla against Valencia.
We will play this match before next week’s first League break for the national teams. Simeone will recover for these squad list Godín and Thomas, both banned last week, whilst Nico Gaitán is absent, after suffering a blow to his foot in the last training. Filipe Luis and Gameiro, are on the list, after recovering from their respective injuries.
