Atlético de Kolkata needed a full-fledged come back. Atlético’s team had lost by a resounding 3-0 in the first leg match and it was time to turn the result at Salt Lake Stadium, in front of the red and white fans. Lekic ignited the hope with a goal on 22 minutes. However, despite the attempts of our team, we would reach half-time with that result.

In the second half, the disciples of Antonio López Habas attacked again but the second goal did not arrive until the final stretch of the game. Hume scored the 2-0 in 87’ and uncertainty reigned until a former Atlético, Fikru, scored Chennaiyin’s goal to certify the visitors’ getting into next Sunday’s final against Goa.
