Leaders despite the setback
Our Youth League team lost 0-2 in a matchup against Olympiacos thanks to goals from Androutsos and Garefalakis.
The clash could've clinched first place in our group for our team, but from the first minute, it didn't look like an easy task. Despite Armando de la Morena's boys dominating the match and ball possession, they didn't threaten the Greek goal. The first half ended with a scoreless tie.
In the second half, Androutsos managed to put the visitors ahead thanks to a dead ball at the far post. The goal was like a bucket of cold water to a team that did not know how to respond. In the 79th minute, Garefalakis took advantage of an error from Atlético's defence to decide the match. Our team remain leaders of the group with 12 points followed by Olympiacos with 10 points. The next match will be in Turín against Juventus on December 9th.
