Koke: "We're very happy to advance to the semifinals"
After our match in Lisbon, Koke spoke to the press about our side advancing to the semifinals of the UEFA Europa League.
Our team knocked out Sporting CP on aggregate and qualified for the semifinals of the UEFA Europa League. After the match, Koke analyzed the match to the press.
"Sporting CP played a great match, especially in the first half," Koke said. "We're very happy to advance to the semifinals. Nothing is easy in football."
Koke praised Jan Oblak's great match in the José Alvalade
"Hopefully [Oblak] can keep this up until the end of the season."
Our midfielder praised Sporting CP and is happy with the team's improvement in the second half.
"They wanted to be in semis and we were expecting a Sporting CP that was going to start off strongly," he said. "We improved in the second half and had chances to score."
Lastly, Koke spoke about who he'd rather face in the semifinals of the Europa League.
"Whoever we end up facing, we have to play a great knock-out round."
