Koke trains with the group after the knock he took in his left eye in the Cup

Kun, Godín and Borja do alternate work with Oscar Pitillas

The Atlético de Madrid first squad trained for two hours on Tuesday in their return to work after the two days off granted them by Quique Sánchez Flores after beating Osasuna on Saturday. Forlán was the sole absence, as he will play with Uruguay against Chile on Wednesday. The good news was the presence of Koke, who has overcome the problem he suffered in his left eye against Universidad in the Cup, when he played and ended up injured with a cut over his eye.

The first to begin the session were the goalkeepers. De Gea, Joel and Asenjo began with specific work alongside Emilio Álvarez, the goalkeeping coach, while the rest of the group hit the gym to work out for half-an-hour. Afterwards, they did physical exercises before moving onto drills with finishing on three goals, each netminder defending one. Then the players did uneven attacking drills of three-on-two.

Atlético B players Saúl, Hermosa, Miramón, Abel and Joseph trained with the first squad. Agüero completed a session with the physios in the gym, while Godín and Borja took the pitch to do alternative work with Oscar Pitillas.

To finish, the team played a practice game on the full-pitch with two squads of ten players, with two players on each wing for the attacking side. On one side were: Joel; Perea, Ujfalusi, Domínguez, Antonio López; Mario Suárez, Raúl García; Fran, Diego Costa and Simao. On the flanks were Hermosa and Miramón. The other team was formed by: Asenjo; Valera, Juanito, Pulido, Filipe Luis; Tiago, Camacho; Reyes, Saúl and Perea. On the wings were Abel and Joseph.
