Koke: "My dream is to retire here"

This Wednesday, the event of our player Koke’s renewal until 2024 was held in the VIP lounge of the Vicente Calderón stadium. Atlético’s player from the ranks was accompanied by Enrique Cerezo, Miguel Ángel Gil, José Luis Pérez Caminero, Clemente Villaverde, Andrea Berta, Adelardo Rodríguez, as well as by his family.
The event began with a few words from our chairman. Enrique Cerezo congratulated Koke on his contract extension: "Koke is an Atlético from the cradle. He came to our Academy when he was only eight years old and very soon our coaches discovered that we were in front a young promise with an amazing future. But we all know and are conscious that at that age, the complete training of a sportsman is established on the pillars of the education that the young person receives at home, along with a correct sports training and supported by the values that our coaches transmit to their players since they come to our club: humility, spirit of self-improvement, capacity to sacrifice, teamwork, team spirit, belonging, respect…"
Later, a touching video was projected with words of the player’s family. After the video, our player took the stage: "My dream is to retire in Atlético de Madrid. Hopefully, I can also be Atlético de Madrid’s first captain in the future. That is my dream since the first match I played here. I am an Atlético supporter since I was little and I hope I can retire here," he noted.
