Juanfran: "I hope we play a great match at Balaídos "
The Spanish international gave Godin as an example of work and effort to accomplish great things as a team.
The team travels to Balaídos after beating Real Madrid in a match that Juanfran considers important but already forgotten. "The truth is that we played a great game the other day but it’s already forgotten on our part. For us, it was three more points in order to achieve great things. We hope to play a great match at Balaidos," he recalled.
As for this year’s team, Juanfran ensures that the players that are injured are important but they will not affect a group that’s showing strong, prepared, and above all, competitive. "Whoever plays, this team is ready to give their best. Each player is ready to give their best when the coach needs it. We can boast of a having great team with great players," he said emphatically.
Juanfran also praised the effort of his teammate Diego Godín after training as everyone else, despite the blow he suffered to the nose. "Godin is a strong guy. It shows how eager the team and him are. Nobody wants to lose a single minute of any game and wants to help the team to win and compete. The other day he received a big blow and two days later he’s already heading balls. That speaks well of him and the team."
