In the rain with the Real Sociedad on the horizon
The first team of Atletico Madrid completed a closed-door training session with the Real Sociedad on the horizon. Oliver, Saul, Manquillo and Thomas trained with Simeone.
Atletico's first closed doors session took place on field 1 of the Majadahonda Sports City to prepare Sunday's game against Real Sociedad. To start the morning, the players did 45 minutes in the gym before going out in the rain.
Tiago missed the session as he continues with the recovery process for the fractured arm he suffered in Sevilla in the Cup semifinal, and Mario Suarez, with a muscle discomfort also missed out. Four players from Atletico B trained with the first team, Oliver, Saul, Manquillo and Thomas. Tiago, injury, and Mario, suspended for an accumulation of cautions, are out for the game against the team from San Sebastián.
In the field, the goalkeepers did specific work with Pablo Vercellone, the goalkeeping coach, while the group did physical work to start and then trained with the ball. After the first fifteen minutes open to the media, the team completed the session behind closed doors for 45 minutes.
