Héctor gives the victory to Atlético in the Jesús Gil II Memorial
Simeone's first trial for the new season. Siqueira and Mandžukić made their debut with the red and white and Bono with the first team. Héctor gave the victory to our team.

Atlético de Madrid began the pre-season matches with the same rival as last season, Numancia, and in the same place, El Burgo de Osma. The hometown of the Club’s late President, Jesús Gil y Gil, lived a festive day with the visit of the League Champions.
Diego Pablo Simeone started with a team line up the fans know to perfection, with the novelty of Bono at the goal, Siqueira on the left side and Mandžukić on the striker position. Within half an hour, the coach decided to make the first two changes, logical on the other hand, because Godín joined on Saturday 19th and the Croatian on Friday 18th. As a matter of fact, Héctor, who replaced the player who will be presented this Thursday at the Calderón, scored the first goal of the match.
