Great win in Lleida

Atlético de Madrid started 2018 off with a great win against Lleida in the first leg of the Round of 16 of the Copa del Rey.

Lleida started off strongly and had good chances, but Miguel Ángel Moyá made some great saves. Little by little, Atleti began to dominate the match and control the possession and chances.

Diego Godín scored the first goal of the night in the 33rd minute and just four minutes later, Fernando Torres doubled the lead. Torres is our current top goalscorer in the Copa del Rey with three goals.

In the second half, Vitolo, Diego Costa and Antoine Griezmann came on and had immediate impacts. Costa scored the third goal of the night and celebrated with great joy.  In the final play of the match, Griezmann scored with a great freekick. 

The lads were happy to have started the year in the best way possible.
