Resounding win in the Wanda Metropolitano for Atlético de Madrid. Our lads beat Las Palmas 3-0 thanks to second half strikes by Antoine Griezmann, Fernando Torres and Thomas Partey.
The match started off intensely and neither team was able to take control of the match. Little by little, we started feeling comfortable with the ball and began creating chances. Griezmann had a wonderful chance, but his shot went off the crossbar.
In the second half, we began to dominate more and more and in the 61st minute came our first goal of the night. A great Juanfran ball found Griezmann, who beat Chichizola to make the Wanda Metropolitano celebrate in joy. A couple of minutes later, Torres scored a golazo to double our lead. In the final minutes of the match, Thomas scored from a Yannick Carrasco assist.
