Gabi: "A draw was fair, it was a half each"
The Atletico captain emphasised the good second half and highlighted the great work against a major rival.
The midfielder and captain of Atletico Madrid appeared before the media in the mixed zone at the Calderon after the match against Valencia and was open about the game.
Gabi said "in the first half, the team was not at our level. Valencia played with an extra player in midfield and that prevented us doing what we wanted to do. In the second, the team was back on track and got the better of Valencia, so a draw was fair."
The Atletico captain made it clear that "the team is working to get as high as possible. Fighting with the Madrid reinforces our work and our illusion. Today, especially in the first half, the team has not been at our best, but in the second you can not criticise anything."
