New win at the Calderón to continue in third place another week. The red and whites defeated Elche thanks to goals from Griezmann, twice, and Raúl García.

Our team was able to get the 3 points in the return of the BBVA League at the Vicente Calderón. The red and whites beat Elche to add 72 points this season so far.
The game kicked off with two evenly matched teams, but as the minutes went by the red and whites grew and began to gain meters on the playing field. Tyton worked hard to avoid two goals in two separate shots by Raúl García. Tiago and Fernando Torres were less successful, on minutes 20 and 32 respectively, when their shots missed the goal and the balls were deflected. With our team dedicated in searching for the goal, we reached half time.
At the resumption of the game, our team hit all the marks when aiming for the goal that it didn’t hit in the first half. Griezmann headed acrobatically to the net in a clearance of the Polish goalie after a shot by Koke. Raúl García, 8 minutes later, scored the second with a long distance left-footed shot. In full Atlético control, Griezmann scored his second goal of the evening after a good play by Saúl on the right wing to close the final score.
