Filipe Luis: "We played a very solid game"
Filipe Luis appeared before the media in the mixed zone at the Nuevo Zorrilla pointing out the talk at halftime helped them dominated the opponent and take the win.
The Brazilian said: "This team has been almost the same for three years. The club has made a huge effort to keep the same base the past two seasons and it shows because we know each other. The games that we are playing are very solid, very concrete and we work well game by game."
He made it clear that "we started the game a bit slow and after the talk the coach gave us at halftime we changed. He gave us a good talk and in the second half it was different. We dominate the opponent to get the goal and the points."
He pointed out that "there are games when the football doesn’t flow but we must play on and be humble and defend in all parts of the field. This has given us so much success. Nobody is more important than anybody."
He praised Manquillo who started the game "he has a tremendous future. He is a full back who will play at a very good level and will be in the Spanish team, I’m sure."
Regarding the eleven staring he said that "the squad is very balanced. Everyone who has played has contributed and done very well. The important thing is that the team remains in the same run and fighting until the end."
