Emotional Farewell for Falcao
Radamel Falcao Garcia said goodbye to Atletico Madrid with tears in his eyes. The unbeatable memories in the two seasons at the club came to his head and struggled speak. He is a hero and received a warm farewell from the children of the Foundation, who finished the year with a workout at the Vicente Calderon.
The Colombian appeared in the VIP room of the Vicente Calderon Stadium with president, Enrique Cerezo, and sporting director Jose Luis Perez Caminero. He was accompanied by his wife, Lorelei, and the deputy chairman of the social, Lazaro Albarracin.

Enrique Cerezo took the floor to discuss the departure of Falcao. The president said that "we are here today to bid farewell to a very special player, leaving the club after having defended our colors over two seasons. The commitment of the team in Zaragoza, where they play the last game of the season, and the need for Falcao to join the national team, have forced us to perform this act at a time when many of the people who would like to be here, players, coaches, managers and employees of the club, will be unable to join us, although I'm sure they all had the opportunity to personally say goodbye to Falcao before he leaves Madrid".
President went on to say "at Atletico, more inportnant that the timesomeone has been at the club, what we value is dedication and honesty with which a player has played his work with us. For this reason, I want to you thank Falcao for the professionalism, responsibility and commitment you have shown in these two years. Thanks to your work and your ambition, united with that of your teammates and the coach, we couldn’t have lived a happier page in the history of the club, in which the team has carried out a lot of growth, which has been crowned in a year and a half by three titles: A Europa League, European Supercup and a Copa del Rey. I am convinced that our relationship will remain alive, and that everyone at Atletico will wish successes for Falcao and Falcao will be happy for all the success of Atletico. Falcao thank you very much and good luck in your new professional career. Thanks Tiger".
Then Falcao went on to address those present but emotion took over him and after several attempts, he showed a video with the highlights of the Tiger at Atletico Madrid, with his most important goals, the celebrations of the titles ... Afterwards the Colombian was able to address those present to give "thanks to everyone. To Miguel Ángel, to Enrique, to Cholo, to Manzano, to my teammates, to everybody in the club, the medical team. These are the best years of my career. I lived moments that I never believed I could in these two wonderful years".
Radamel Falcao was scheduled to address the questions of the media but the emotional farewell held in the VIP room prevented him from responding to the media.
To end the act, Enrique Cerezo Falcao handed a silver ingot with the historical club shields on and a full child kit for his future child. Afterwards, the Colombian went out on to the pitch to share a few moments with the schoolchildren of the Fundación Atlético Madrid, with whom he had a big a family photo before leaving with warm applause from the children and parents, who were in the stands of the stadium.
