ATLETICO STRIKER WILL NOT JOIN UP WITH INTERNATIONAL TEAM

Diego Costa has undergone an MRI that revealed that he has suffered broken fibres grade I- II in the right thigh, which occurred in the match in El Madrigal.

Diego Costa has been subjected to a resonance in the Clinic Majadahonda FREMAP due t discomfort after ending the match against Villarreal and it has determined that the Atletico striker suffered broken fibres to grade I-II in the middle of the right thigh adductor. This injury will prevent him from joining up with Vicente del Bosque and the Spanish team for the matches against Guinea and South Africa, for which he had been called up.

The striker will undergo physiotherapy at the Majadahonda Sports City.

After the MRI, Diego Costa, along with Jose Maria Villalon, head of medical services and doctors from the Spanish national side, Oscar Luis Celada and Juan Cota saw him at the Sports City of Las Rozas to confirm the extent of the injury and the inability to join up with the Spanish side for the upcoming games.
