Diego Costa leads the team to victory
Three more points against a Celta who were overwhelmed by the intensity of the Atletico players. The Vigo goalkeeper Yoel, was the hero for his team but was unable to stop Diego Costa who grabbed a brace.

The match began with a lot of intensity from the home side and Atletico soon signalled their intention to continue their great run when the first chance fell to Villa. The Spaniard came close getting on the end of the Juanfran cross but failed to open the scoring. Minutes later the team had another chance after a duel between Villa and Celta goalkeeper who came out on top this time.
After twenty minutes an attack down the left ended with Filipe Luis being brought down by the Vigo defender David Costas resulting in a penalty. Diego Costa stepped up to take it but his shot was saved by the keeper Yoel, saviour of his team in the first half, who made a great save at full stretch.
The game was being played in the Celta half of the field and as a result of this pressure came the first goal. A cross from Filipe Luis on the left side found Diego Costa who made no mistake to give his side the lead at the break.
In the second half the team started with the same intensity with which they had started the game although they had to wait to just after the hour mark for the second goal which came after a long pass that put Costa one on one and this time the Atletico striker beat Yoel low.
After the goal Luis Enrique changed a few things and they became more aggressive as they looked to put pressure on the goal defended by Courtois. This change led to them pulling one back to make it 2-1 thanks to Nolito but it wasn’t enough for the visitors and the match ended in the three more points in the Calderon.
