Defeat against an Olympiacos perfect in the attack in Athens
Atlético de Madrid found an accurate and lucky Olympiacos. Roberto saved the Greeks twice from Griezmann. Mandžukić and the French scored.

1-0. 13’. Masuaku surprises Oblak with a shot from the top of the penalty box after a corner kick.
2-0. 31’. Afellay scores a counter-attack carried by Domínguez.
2-1. 38’. Mandžukić heads to the goal a precise cross by Ansaldi from the left.
3-1. 73’. Mitroglou receives inside the box from Kasami, turns and scores with a low shot.
3-2. 86’. Griezmann scores taking advantage of a cross from Koke from the right.
The match at the Georgios Karaiskakis began with Atlético dominating but with a well-aimed Olympiacos. The Greek team left possession to our team, especially after Masuaku’s goal. The danger came from the counters of Michel’s team. One by Domínguez luckily ended at Afellay’s feet and the player loaned by Barcelona hit the target. Two attempts, two goals. Mandžukić, who had received a nudge from a rival, recovered and was dangerous to the Greeks. He warned with a high header on 17 minutes, but he scored with another header on 38 to shorten distances.
The second half was an Atlético monologue, dominating and with chances to score but no luck. Griezmann had two, to which Roberto responded with two spectacular saves. And Arda Turan grazed the crossbar with a shot from the top of the penalty box. And, third shot at the goal by the Greeks, third goal. Three out of three for the Greeks. Griezmann reduced the gap near the end but, despite our efforts, the Greek defence prevented the tie.
