THE BELGIAN KEEPER WAS DEEPLY GRATEFUL

Courtois posed with his plaque in the Walk of Legends

The keeper, who won four titles with our club between 2011 and 2014, posed next to his plaque at the main façade of the Wanda Metropolitano.

Thibaut Courtois used his visit to Madrid for the Champions duel that we will play against his current team, Chelsea, to visit the plaque he has in the Walk of Legends of the Wanda Metropolitano. Before the training session carried out by the 'blues' in Atlético’s stadium, the Belgian keeper, who played 154 fixtures with our team between 2011 and 2014, wanted to go to the main façade and pose next to his plaque.

The international keeper won four titles in his three seasons with Atleti (League, King’s Cup, UEFA Europa League and UEFA Super Cup) and two Zamora awards to the goalkeeper to concede the least goals of LaLiga.

Courtois was deeply grateful to Atlético de Madrid and all his fans, who always showed him their love.
