Courtois: "In the second half we deserved to win"
The Belgian goalkeeper spoke in the mixed zone about the game against Valencia and said he is optimistic about the future to fight for second place.
Thibaut Courtois expressed his disappointment with the outcome of the match between Atletico against Valencia. "It was a shame. It was a difficult game against a team that had their chances. In the first half we lacked intensity although we got the goal. In the second half we had more chances and I think we deserved to win," said the Atletico keeper.
Asked about thef ight for second place with Real Madrid he confessed that "it's a shame because we had a good opportunity to move above Real Madrid. But there are nine games left, we have good team and we have to fight for second place which is very close to us."
