THE BELGIAN IS ONLY THINKING ABOUT WORKING HARD AND WINNING GAMES

Courtois: "Every game at the Calderon is special with our fantastic fans"

The Atletico goalkeeper has highlighted the momentum within the team and expects a great atmosphere at the Calderon on Sunday. The Belgian is happy with the news his teammates have been called up for the national team.

Thibaut Courtois was very happy with the announcement of four of his teammates getting a call up for the Spanish national team. "I did not know because I left before noon. But now I just heard the news and I think it is very good for Atletico to have international." In addition, the goalkeeper has highlighted the momentum of the team and the other players in the squad have also been called up for their national teams. "Not only with Spain , Me & Toby have been called up by Belgium, Arda for Turkey and the Uruguayans to. That means we are doing good things here at the club and we have to keep working."

Regarding the possibility of Diego Costa making the Spanish side, Courtois said it is a decision that belongs to him, and has only highlighted the great potential of the Atletico forward . "It's up to him to choose to play for his country. Diego is a great striker and it is always difficult to stop him, but he will still have to see which country he will play for."

"Sunday's game here at home with a full stadium is very important to win. We did very well beating Real Madrid, if we do not win on Sunday they are points lost. You have to work well, with humility, with our feet on the ground, we need to play well on Sunday and win here at home," said Courtois on the next league match against Celta".

Despite the good results obtained in two recent games against Real Madrid and Porto, Courtois does not think it will be difficult for the team to continue with the same focus and intensity in the games against the Galician. "Every game in the Calderón is a special game with the fantastic crowd. It is hard to stay focused. We just have to play well and win."
