Courtois: "Austria Vienna will make it difficult for us"

Thibaut Courtois appeared at a press conference before the final training session to prepare Atletico for the Champions League clash against Austria Vienna. Convinced the team will achieve victory, the goalkeeper predicted a tough match against a team very well organised and competitive.

The young Atletico Madrid goalkeeper spoke at a press conference minutes before the last official training session at the Ernst Happel. The first loss of the season against Espanyol has already been forgotten and assured that Atletico are looking to win in the third round of the UEFA Champions League. "We go game by game as we’ve always done. This match tomorrow is very important to us and we want to win. What happened on Saturday can happen, we have a great team but we can lose to others. The team is ready to approach the game tomorrow."

Atletico Madrid is a mature team that has managed to overcome difficult situations in recent seasons. The defeat of the previous weekend does not worry Thibaut, as the team has forgotten and is confident of a win against Austria Vienna. "I believe that after the defeat everyone was disappointed because I felt we could do more in the game, but I think everyone has their head up and is looking to the match tomorrow and returning to Madrid with the three points" he said.

The current Spanish League Zamora had words of praise for his compatriot the Belgian, Toby Alderweireld, after his debut last Saturday at Cornella El Prat. "It was his first game and he did pretty well, but it's not my job to review his performance. I've played many times with him and he played well with Godin." he said .

Tomorrow 's rival , Austria Vienna, will not make things easy for Diego Pablo Simeone’s team. As reflected by Courtois before ending the press conference, Vienna will be a very strong opponent that will leave few spaces. "We have seen how they play, they are a very organized team that does not leave much space so it will be a tough game. They have good players and we will have to be very focused throughout the game to win."
