Costa strikes again
Two goals from the Brazilian in the first half against Osasuna set Atletico on their way to another 3 point at the Calderon. Another victory with which we match the best start in clubs history.

Atletico Madrid completed the best start in their history by beating Osasuna and making it six consecutive wins in the league and continue at the top of the league table with 18 points, the same as the FC Barcelona. Diego Costa scared both goals in the first half.Diego Simeone had warned that he would make five changes from the team that played at the Jose Zorrilla stadium on Saturday. Juanfran, Insua, Tiago, Arda Turan and Leo Baptistão were the names that refreshed the team that won against Valladolid.
Osasuna came to the Calderon and ryied to stop Atletico playing but Simeone’s men stuck to a style that has seen them get off to such a strong start. The visitor played a solid block in the middle of the field, Atletico tried to break the wall by playing long balls up towards Diego Costa. Osasuna could have gone ahead in the 13th minute. Sisi tried his luck from distance and the ball bounced off Godin first and then Miranda to continue its path to the right base of Courtois post.
The first goal was created from the foot of Arda . The wing opened up for the Turkish midfielder, the ball was played in to the area to Diego Costa who finished past an off balance Osasuna goalkeeper.
The Spanish-Brazilian is synonymous goal and seven minutes later he got his second with an extraordinary header from a great cross from Koke in to the area making it 2-0 with only 25 minute played. The Calderon paid tribute to Diego Costa who already has seven goals in a memorable league start.

In the 63 minutes Simeone sent on Diego Villa. El Guaje replaced Leo Baptistão. Javi Gracia also made changes with Nunez coming on for captain 'Patxi' Puñal.
A touch from Diego Costa set up a great chance for Arda Turan who was one on one with the keeper but the Turkish man was unable to finish, his shot wet just wide of Andres Fernandez. Atletico signed off the game with another three pints, making it six games wins in six games.
