Atlético de Madrid beat Elche in the Wanda Metropolitano and confirmed a spot in the Copa del Rey Round of 16.
The match started with a flurry of Atlético chances, with the best ones coming from Luciano Vietto and Koke's boots. In the third minute, Vietto sent a shot that went just wide and a couple of minute later, Koke's shot from distance hit the post.
However, the deadlock didn't last long and José María Giménez scored the first in the 31st minute. Just two minutes later, Fernando Torres shot from a tight angle to give Atlético a 2-0 lead.
In the second half, Atlético kept dominating and had numerous chances to score more. In the 68th minute, Torres scored his second of the night and became the first player to ever score a brace in the Wanda Metropolitano.
The Copa del Rey Round of 16 draw will be on Tuesday, 5 December, at 1 p.m. CET.
