Cerezo "It will be one of the best European Stadiums"
Enrique Cerezo, president of the club, was grateful for the name of the access road to the new stadium, "Avenida Luis Aragonés". He also said that the capacity of the new red & white temple will be around 72,000 spectators.
Our president, grateful for the visit to the new stadium, admitted that the works are developing " at a great rate "for the team to be able to dispute the 2016/2017 season in their new home. "Thank the visit, the first visit than the Atlético de Madrid Club does to see the development work on the new stadium. The works are advancing at great tempo and everything is planned to be able to play here the 2016/2017 season" he said.
Enrique Cerezo was happy after the announcement of Ana Botella , Mayor of Madrid, confirming that the access road to the stadium will be called 'Luis Aragonés ' . " For all Atleti fans is a great satisfaction, and we must thank the Mayor that the City Council decided to put a Luis Aragonés name to the avenue that leads to the stadium . It seems to me a fantastic idea for all fans to have Mr. Luis Aragonés in their memory "he said.
Finally , the President of the Club admitted that the new stadium will be "one of the best in Europe." "We hope to be one of the best stadiums in Europe. It will have a great stadium, regarding the parking issue , one of the problems we face with the Vicente Calderon, in the new stadium there will be more parking spaces than enough , we,ll have the subway and there is also parking in the neighborhood. The stadium will have 72,000 seats for Atleti´s fans, for them to be able to see the matches and be comfortable, "he said
