Atlético, star of the new tourism promotional campaign of the Community of Madrid

The Minister of Employment, Tourism and Culture of the Community of Madrid, Ana Isabel Mariño, presented the new campaign together with our Chairman, Enrique Cerezo, at Majadahonda’s Sports City. The following guests attended the event: the Mayor of Majadahonda, Narciso de Foxá, the Mayor of Las Rozas, José Ignacio Fernández Rubio, the Mayor of Alcorcón, David Pérez, the Vice-Minister of Employment, Tourism and Culture of the Community, Carmen González Fernández, the General Director of Tourism of the Community, Joaquín Castillo, vice-president of Commercial Area of our club, Antonio Alonso and Fundación's director, Germán Robles. 

Also present were the leading characters of the first team in this spot, our coach Diego Pablo Simeone, and the players Fernando Torres, Arda Turan, Koke, Griezmann and Raúl Jiménez. In addition, two illustrious ambassadors for Madrid take part in the advertisement, the famous restaurateur Lucio and three Michelin star chef David Muñoz.

The story starts with Diego Pablo Simeone on a roof of Gran Vía, inviting the viewer to get to know a different Madrid, an authentic and alternative Madrid, "the Madrid of the people from Madrid, the Madrid of Atleti." Aboard the unusual bus of Atleti, Fernando Torres, Antoine Griezmann, Koke, Arda Turan and Jiménez make a tour through the different districts of Madrid: Malasaña with its shops and theatres, Conde Duque, Puerta del Sol and the restaurants of La Latina and Lavapiés. The tour of the Atléticos ends in other magnificent locations in the region such as the Royal Palace of Aranjuez or La Pedriza, and a new invitation from Atleti’s coach to "live Madrid in a different way." The chosen slogan is “Enjoy Madrid.”

Our Chairman, Enrique Cerezo, said in his speech that "we are very proud to be ambassadors of the image of our Community around the world.”
