Atletico offered the cup to all their fans
Gabi, as captain of Atletico Madrid along with some of the rojiblanco legends, gave the Spanish Cup to all the fans who gathered at the Vicente Calderon before the game against Mallorca.
Sunday the 26th was a very special day for the Atletico fans. Atletico Madrid presented the 2013 Spanish Cup to their supporters minutes before the start of the game against Real Mallorca, the last official match schedule at the Calderon this season.
The club wanted to pay tribute to both those who have won the tenth Copa del Rey and those who were involved in the previous nine. Some of the most illustrious veterans of the history of Atletico Madrid were present at this very emotional moment for all Atletico.
Enrique Collar (1960), Adelard Rodriguez (1961), Armando Ufarte (1965), Isacio Calleja (1972), José Eulogio Garate (1976), Quique Ramos (1985), Alfredo Santaelena (1991), Thomas Reñones (1992) and Robert Solozábal (1996) were present on the pitch of the Calderon along with Gabi (2013) who offered the Copa del Rey won on the 17th of May at the Santiago Bernabeu against Real Madrid. The Atletico fans appreciated the gesture and chanted the name of all who have made history on the Manzanares.
