Atletico held their traditional Christmas meal

As is typical at this time of year, Atletico Madrid held their traditional Christmas meal in which the first team and the Board of Directors celebrated this excellent 2013 and the best for the coming year. At a banquet held at La Taberna del Capitan Alatriste and chaired by Enrique Cerezo and Miguel Angel Gil Marin, players, coaches and other members of the first team tasted and enjoyed a varied menu in a relaxed atmosphere. The meeting was also attended by Vice Albarracin and Antonio Lazaro Alonso and board members Óscar Gil Marín y Severiano Gil y Gil, the secretary of the board , Pablo Jiménez de Parga, and sporting director Jose Luis Perez Caminero . Unable to attend was Clemente Villaverde, manager and adviser who was in Nyon representing the club in the draw for the second round of the UEFA Champions League.

During the meal everyone present recognized the 25 years of service to the club f Lazarus Albarracin. Enrique Cerezo said spoke of the great work over the years of the Vice President and asked everyone to rise up their glass to toast Lazarus, who was excited and thanked and acknowledged everyone for living the best moments of his time with the team, in addition he praised the work of everyone who is part of the organization: "the most important thing in my life are my family and Atletico. I've always felt that way. I want to thank the club, the leaders of the team, all the players who have been here, the employees of the club, everyone."

After his words, Miguel Angel Gil and Enrique Cerezo presented him with a replica of the last five titles obtained and a shirt with his name signed by all players of the first team, who finished chanting his name and waving napkins.

Finally the club wanted to give a Christmas detail to the first team, giving each one the most coveted gift this Christmas, the new Sony PlayStation 4. The players appreciated the gift from the club and they finished the meal by toasting to new sporting success.
