Atlético de Kolkata makes it to the final

The qualification, without goals at the end of regulation time, was decided in the penalty shootout. Borja scored the decisive goal that sealed the spot in the final.

Atlético de Kolkata played the second leg of the semifinals against Goa with the scoreless tie from the first leg and everything to be decided. The 90 minutes of the regulation time ended with few chances for either side, with Edel being the best Atlético with two outstanding plays.

The accumulated fatigue from the last matches took a toll on some of the players who were depleted, which led to an extra time without too much football. Nevertheless, Kolkata tried until the very end, but the penalties were inevitable.

Goa began shooting but missed two of the first three penalties and Kolkata, with four consecutive fine shots, qualified for the final.

The Indian Super League final will be next Saturday, the 20th of December, at 13:30 CET.
