Cádiz and Atlético de Madrid took the field of the Ramón de Carranza with great intensity in search of a place in the final of the 'trophy of trophies'. Equality was the prevailing tendency in the first half, in which the best chances were red and white. Thomas crashed a ball on the post in the 8th minute and Raúl García forced Cifuentes to save a dangerous shot. Later, it was Carrasco who unsettled the local goalkeeper. And Torres, half an hour into the match, watched how Cifuentes stopped his shot. Cádiz answered by making Moyá uneasy with a ball that went out after a shot by Mantecón.

In the second half, Simeone decided to substitute Iván Pérez with Correa to give greater depth to the team. And the Argentinian showed his class immediately with a play that got rid of his marker but the midfielder found no finisher. As the minutes passed by, the chances of our team increased, however Cádiz did not give up on the game. But the opportunities were still ours. Vietto and Torres, twice, could score but the finalist had to be decided in the penalty shootouts.

Moyá was the team hero by stopping two penalty shots, one from Canario and another from Salvi. Our guys got four shots in and the team got into the final in search of its 10th Carranza Trophy. We will play for the monumental Cup against Betis at 22:00. Betis won Granada 2-1 in the first semi-final.
