Atlético de Madrid flew to Galicia on Saturday to face Celta de Vigo this Sunday, 22 October, at 4:15 p.m. CET.
After a rough start in LaLiga, Celta haven’t lost since 18 September. In their past four matches, they’ve won twice and drawn another two times.
Last season, Atlético beat Celta in both LaLiga fixtures. In Balaídos, Atlético won 0-4, while the fixture in the Vicente Calderón ended in a back-and-forth 3-2 victory.
Yannick Carrasco and Koke, with injuries, didn’t travel to Vigo; however, Simeone hinted at the possibility of Augusto Fernández playing in the midfield tomorrow. If he plays, it’ll be a special match for the Argentine, since Celta was his old club and it’ll be his first match of the 2017/18 season.
